April Meeting Minutes Pam Browning

Vickie Johnson called the meeting to order, welcomed everyone, and thanked the hostesses. The secretary, Paul Browning, checked the roll. The March meeting minutes were approved as printed in the March newsletter. Debbie McGee gave the Treasurer's report. Vickie Johnson gave a report on the Area I Meeting held on March 11 at Pell City High School. Vickie shared that members took part in informative meetings and workshops and that she and Wendy Stephens participated in presenting workshops at the meeting. Vickie reported that the Delta Eta Silent Auction displayed at the meeting was a great success.    She thanked members for contributing to and participating in the auction. Vickie read a selection on Delta Kappa Gamma symbols that gave information on the significance of the Delta Kappa Gamma Key Pin. Vickie reminded members that Leadership Seminar Application forms would he due by May 1st, and also announced that the Delta Eta Summer Planning Meeting would be on July 12 at Moody Jr. High School, Induction of officers for 2006-2008. and the initiation of new members were then held. Officers inducted were: Vickie Johnson-President, Sara Wendt-First Vice-President, Pat Gann-Second Vice-President, Mary Morton-Secretary, and Debbie McGee-Treasurer. New members who were initiated were Kathy Bailey and Susan Nicely. The new members were congratulated and welcomed by the other members of Delta Eta. Since there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

President's Message

Thanks to everyone for a great year in Delta Eta, I really appreciate the support and hard work of our officers and members. Through your help and dedication, we were able to have successful meetings, programs, and projects. I look forward to our 2006-2007 year together. I would like to extend a warm welcome to our two new members, Kathy Bailey and Susan Nicely. We are thrilled to have you as members, ladies, and we look forward to working with you! I will be in touch regarding upcoming meetings and events for this summer. Until then, I wish you a happy end to your school year (14 days and counting!), and a wonderful, relaxing summer.
